Dr. Amit Kumar Chatterjee is a dedicated medical professional specializing in Transfusion Medicine, Immunohematology, Apheresis Technology, and Blood Component Therapy. With nearly six years of professional experience, he has developed specialized expertise in managing complex transfusion requirements and providing advanced blood component-related care. He currently serves as an Associate Consultant in the Department of Transfusion Medicine at Vivekananda Hospital, Durgapur, having joined the organization on 9 September 2026.

Dr. Chatterjee completed his MBBS from Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara, Nepal, and subsequently pursued his MD in Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion from the National Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Jaipur. His academic journey reflects a focused commitment to the field of transfusion medicine and its evolving clinical applications.

To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Chatterjee completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Apheresis Technology & Blood Component Therapy from AIIMS Rishikesh.
